When I was in Japan in 1985 the exchange rate was 248 yen to the dollar. Now it is about 122 yen to the dollar. That's about 2:1. Yet Japanese products are not twice as expensive as they were in 1985. Most Japanese companies have been trying to hold the line on prices as much as possible and absorbing a lot of the difference in order to maintain market share. >"These aren't my thoughts, they're my cat walking on the keyboard."
