[comp.sys.ibm.pc] pkarc documentation wanted

cs2531ci@charon.unm.edu (Brian Bowers) (03/30/88)

I just knew I was forgetting something when I asked for
pkxarc. Now that I have pkx35a35.exe, I figured out what
it was: documentation for that auspicious program.

I've tried it a couple of times, not knowing what I was
doing, and seem to have simply hung the computer. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, if you could, either mail me docs, or a site where
docs can be anonymously-ftp'ed, or just some helpful hint(s)
from your own experience with pkxarc.

I'm using pkx35a35 for almost a year, the EXE file should contain
pkxarc.exe, pkxarc.doc, pkarc.exe, pkarc.doc and several other
files.
You type pkx35a35 and the file should extract it self.
--> the version I use is with out a virus ( I hope), I've no
problems with it.
If you still have problems, I send the original file to you.
Let me know

Hans

Thank you to all the concerned net-landers who offered help.
The fault was not in pkx35a35.exe, nor in the copy I received
via ftp from grape.ecs.clarkson.edu. There was a problem in the
way I was downloading to disk. The problem was pointed out
very plainly, and has since been corrected. I am quite happy
now with pkarc, pkxarc, etc, and am de-arcing very nicely.

Thanks again for all the help.
