I'm using KEYFAKE.COM (written by Charles Petzold) to initialize various programs that I use, but I'm having trouble using it with Microsoft Word. If you're a user of Word, then you know that the ESC key toggles between the input area and the menu area. I would like Word to go immediately to the menu area upon starting and execute certain commands; however, I can't get KEYFAKE to execute the initial ESC sequence. Has anyone gotten KEYFAKE to simulate pressing the ESC key. BTY, I tried decimal 27, but that won't work; it just produces a left arrow on the screen.

Word 4.0 has a provision for setting up a macro that starts up automatically when Word starts -- this won't help those of you with Word 3.x, but might be easier for the 4.0 users than trying to make KEYFAKE work with Word.
