In a short assembler program I wrote recently, I wanted to write a string to the standard output so that file re-direction would work. I'm using a single interrupt hex 21 call with function code hex 40 and file handle 1. Is that OK? Is that the best way to do it? I'm wondering because my pgm works fine on my system but hangs on a friend's (we both use DOS 3.20). Respond my mail please and thanks for any help. -- John Wright ////////////////// Phone: 902-424-3805 or 902-424-6527 Post: c/o Dr Pat Lane, Biology Dept, Dalhousie U, Halifax N.S., CANADA B3H-4H8 Cdn/Bitnet: lane@cs.dal.cdn Arpa: lane%dalcs.uucp@uunet.uu.net Uucp: lane@dalcs.uucp or {uunet, watmath, utai, garfield}!dalcs!lane
