i ...ok, here's my entry for dumb net question of the month: ...I'm currently using a miniscribe 30-meg HD with a Tandem controller. I have access to either a 20 or a 10-meg HD sans controller (Miniscribe and IBM makes, respectively), and what I want to know is can you mis-balance twin HD's? Can you have a 20 and a 30 on the same controller card? ...any help would be appreciated. I'll even accept flames on this one... We have both 20 and 72 Mb drives on our AT; we merely had to tell the SETUP program which drive types they were. Exactly how you do this is related to what kind of PC/controller you have -- consult your manual for more specific information on your machine and controller. jim frost madd@bu-it.bu.edu
