I have an OKIDATA 192+ printer which for most cases I am extremely happy with, but I have a few problems. The first is that the 1800-OKIDATA number is not worth beans. After numerous busy signals over a month's time, I finally got through. The person was no help at all. Although he remained polite, it was obvious he was rushed to get to the next call or coffee. Anyhow, here are some questions. Any help would be appreciated. 1) The OKIDATA 192+ supports NLQ proportional printing via the set-up menu, yet the manual does not give any software command (ESC) sequence to control it. Does it exist? I am using WORDPERFECT which supports proportional printing but it can not turn it on for the OKIDATA. 2) I am using UNISON's NEWSMASTER with the 192+. My 192+ is the standard OKIDATA graphics version. When I get down to fonts smaller than 12 points, the letters run into each other making it nearly impossible to read. I have gone several rounds with UNISON to no success. They even suggested to try a new driver they sent me for an OKIDATA 292, but that really messed things up. Can you think of anything else to try? Does anyone use any other newsletter publishing software with an OKIDATA 192+ that uses standard OKIDATA graphics with acceptable results? 3) From what I can tell, there is no way to use PRINTSHOP artwork files with NEWSMASTER (or PRINTMASTER, I assume) or vice versa. I have tried several things. It looks like the index file is the same, but the data file must be different. Has anyone done it? If so, how? Thanks in Advance Karl Parks ihnp4!ablnc!kep
