This query concerns the recently-posted set of programs 800k.arc (the DOC file did not contain an e-mail address for the author). Has anyone successfully used DD diskettes as 800k diskettes using this program? The formatting part seems to work correctly -- the drive steps 80 times, but DOS thinks the disk capacity is only 360K, and gives an 'out of space' error if I attempt to put more than 360K of data onto it. This happens whether or not I use the 800k.com mem-res program. Based on the (scant) documentation, it sounds like something isn't being correctly written to the boot sector at format time. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I am using MS-DOS 3.1 on a true-blue IBM-AT with one high-density diskette drive. Replies by e-mail if possible. Thanks in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Carson T.
