[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Any thoughts on the _Microsoft Systems Journal_?

friedl@vsi.UUCP (Stephen J. Friedl) (03/29/88)

Hi folks. I think I recall reading some time ago a discussion
here about the _M_i_c_r_o_s_o_f_t_ _S_y_s_t_e_m_s_ _J_o_u_r_n_a_l but I don't recall
what the consensus was. Anybody with thoughts on this is
invited to send a note with them via email (I don't normally
read this group). Thanks much.

     Steve

i subscribed to msj last fall through my company, and it is kinda weird...
they started sending me issues with ever decreasing issue dates...
i subscribed in September of 1987... in October I received September 87,
then August 87, then July 87..., but I think that I am almost up to date
now... one problem with msj is that they have no phone number for contact,
only a po box in Marion, Ohio... (quite a metropolis, I must say)...
oy! but it is an interesting magazine with some psuedo useful info about
programming for OS/2 Presentation Manager and other Microsoft related stuff.

the latest issue had an interesting articles about writing programs for the
OS/2 PM which can multitask with everybody else, and about editors
available on the PC... an editor called BRIEF looked pretty neat...
