[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Hahahahaha... WIPE OUT!

dbraun@cadev4.intel.com (Doug Braun ~) (04/23/88)

While writing and testing a tricky TSR, I managed to scribble
on my hard disk.  Only the root directory was messed up;
the boot block, FATs, and data clusters seem fine. It seems
that I should be able to recover almost everything from this,
especially since most files were in subdirectories. Does
anyone know a recovery program that will handle this situation?
Could I clear the root directory with a sector editor and then
unerase subdirectories with an unerase program?

Bummed,
