I know this has probably been an issue discussed here before in the past,
but I can't remember if the product in question had been evaluated. The
compiler I'm seeking for more information and feedback is the Power-C
package by MIX Software, Richardson, Texas. Their literature claims
substantial improvements in speed and efficiency over MSC and Turbo-C.
The benchmarks indicate more than just slight advancements over these two
standards in the PC C compiler industry. Their library is also claimed to be
a superset of the MSC and Turbo libraries. Smaller executables - and at
a price of only about $55.00 including libraries and debugger - seems too good
to be true. Documentation is also seems very impressive.
Can anyone share their knowledge and wisdom of this package? Can/is it
recommended for serious development purposes? Any other comments?
Compatibility and portability? Please e-mail replies, I'll summarize
and post it to the net if there's enough interest. Thanx in advance.
