I guess it would be hypocritical of me to complain about this too
much, but I do like to read about all kinds of music in one place
even if I couldn't stand listening to most of it. Call me weird if you
like.
Anyway, all I could think of on short notice was this:
What Mahler work (chapter and verse) is quoted in Tom Lehrer's song,
"Alma" ?
(Alma was Alma Mahler-Werfel, a truly amazing woman, as Mr. Lehrer, in
his inimitable way, relates.)
As usual, don't post anything unless you're going through net withdrawal
symptoms, and if you just have to know and don't, send me mail.
