 We are looking into BLAST. Would appreciate info on the following:

  a. any sources other than the vendor (for cheaper prices). I have looked
     thru all the usual ads and have not seen it listed;

  b. any experiences using it. If you do not have time to type a long reply,
     but are willing to talk about it, send me your name and phone.

     thanks in advance, greg pavlov, fstrf, amherst, ny.

  The heat generated is dependent on the cards, disk type, etc. Some
hard disks use more or less power. You can measure it yourself if you
have a ammeter (or better yet wattmeter) since the BTU (per hour) is
3.412 BYU/hour/watt.

  Warning the power supply rating is not the right number unless you
have the machines really loaded. Typical power draw runs 70-190w.
