[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Wanted: program to read PS2/80 permanent clock

urjlew@ecsvax.UUCP (Rostyk Lewyckyj) (04/30/88)

I am looking for a PD program to set the system date and time
from the permanent, battery powered, clock on an IBM PS2/80
without rebooting the system. This would be a program which
works like the program ASTclock that came with the AST (six-pack)
and similar cards.
I need this so that I can reset my system clock on Monday mornings
without rebooting and thus loosing my ram disk and configuration.
As you know PC DOS has this stupid bug of not advancing the date
under certain conditions of no activity in the system ...
Someone please mail me the source: MS Masm, Borland Turbo Pascal,
Borland Turbo C, MS C, MS Fortran
