The majority of peripherals I've worked with are designed for 8MHz, and generally work at 10MHz, but not 12MHz. The very fast machines I know of (Compaq 386/20, PCs Ltd 386/20) run the peripheral bus much slower than 20MHz. I'd be interested in hearing of any that do attempt a 20MHz peripheral bus. -- James R.
