===================================================================== ===================================================================== Greetings! I'm having a strange problem. Has anybody encountered the following before: I have adirectory called TEST which is contained in the directory PROJECTS. I wanted to get rid of TEST, so I removed all the files contained in TEST, and from the PROJECTS directory issued the 'RMDIR TEST' command. The 'invalid directory...' error occured, and I cannot get rid of the directory. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance! Dan Platt platt@emory.{csnet bitnet}

If you have Norton Utilities, you might look in the parent directory of the directory you are trying to delete to see just what the name of your mystery directory is. (NU has a good directory editing mode for this kind of stuff.) My bet is that the mystery directory is not named 'TEST' but is ' Test' or something wierd like that. If you don't have Norton Utilities (or something similar like PC Tools or MKS toolkit), I suggest you get them. They are a must for every knowledgeable PC user. Of course, this doesn't answer the question of how you could CD into that directory in the first place. However, NU would be a good place to begin unraveling this mystery.
