Hi,
I don't know if any netlanders can help me, but here goes. I
recently purchased an AST Rampage to add memory to my Answer PC/XT
clone. Pertinent details are:
Answer PC/XT - originally sold by USA-Flex, Support by Comark
640K on motherboard, 4.77Mhz, MS-DOS 3.2,
Comark PC/XT BIOS Ver. 2.1
AST Rampage - 256K installed, Superpack Ver. 6.20
The problem is that when I use AST's Installation S/W (INSTALL
from Superpack) to check the system to find the board, the CPU reboots
itself. When I try to add REMM.SYS from Superpack manually to my
AUTOEXEC.BAT, the CPU hangs after completing the motherboard's
memory check. Comark's Tech Rep is not aware of anyone having
successfully installed a Rampage into an Answer. AST's Tech Rep
also shed no light on the matter. If anyone out there can be of
assistance, please respond to me vial E-mail. Thanks in advance.
