IBM XT clone (SYNCO PC-1600) WD1002S-WX2 with 2 drives 1=st225 2=MINISCRIBE 3650 PCDOS 3.30 1) first hard drive had 10MB DOS partition and 10MB extended DOS partition and all works fine. 2) added second hard drive a) low level formated b) fdisked 20MB DOS partition and 20MB extended DOS partition The problem is after reboot fdisk sees both partitions on second hard drive but dos only sees first. a=floppy b=floppy c=main dos 10MB partition on first hard drive d=main dos 20MB partition on second hard drive e=extended dos 10MB partition on first hard drive Now I switched the two drives and guess what fdisk still sees all four partitions but dos sees a=floppy b=floppy c=main dos 20MB partition on first hard drive d=main dos 10MB partition on second hard drive e=extended dos 20MB partition on first hard drive now I've tried switching both drives back to original 1=20MB 2=40MB and fdisked second to one extended dos partition with 8 5MB logical drives. now dos sees both partitions on the first drive and only the first 4 on the second drive. a=floppy b=floppy c=main dos 10MB paririon on first hard drive d=extended dos 10MB partition on first hard drive e=extended dos 5MB on second drive f=extended dos 5MB on second drive g=extended dos 5MB on second drive h=extended dos 5MB on second drive WHATS UP????? IS THIS A PCDOS 3.30 BUG??? PS I've set lastdrive=z in config.sys
