[comp.sys.ibm.pc] 14.31 MHz

phil@amdcad.AMD.COM (Phil Ngai) (06/19/88)

I am doing a design where it would be convenient to use the PC's 14.31
MHz clock instead of providing my own. Has anyone ever seen a machine
which did not have this signal on the bus? Is this frequency always
the same, plus or minus 1%? I know that the processor clock varies, of
course, but the 14.31 MHz shouldn't, I would think.

I think the 14.31818 MHz signal is part of the bus specification, so
it shouldn't vary.
