Hello net:
I am looking for some information or directional pointers to the
best voice and/or sound-sampling systems available for PC and
PS/2-based computer systems. I am looking into several applications
and I was curious as to what people felt were the better systems
(both hardware and software) for digitizing sound to a PC floppy-based
or hard disk-based system.
I am aware of several 'telephone management'-type of systems such
as Watson. I am wondering if systems such as these could be used
to record from 1 minute to as much as 30-45 minutes worth of
digitized, sampled sound to floppies or hard disks (hard disks in
the range of say 20-40 meg). I know enough about sampling rates and
recording methods (I used to work with sampled sound from a user's
perspective - I was a keyboardist and two of my keyboards were samplers).
So, any help is this area would be appreciated. Please address all
mail to my e-mailbox at the net address below. If there is enough
response, I'll summarize to the net.
Thanks,
Alan
