I just finished calling to find out where my copy of the QuickBASIC 4.0 upgrade diskette is. Well, they apparently had production problems and disks went out with unreadable files. I also thought that it was being called 4.01 or 4.01, but I found out that it is really called 4.0B. She checked and yes, I am on the mailing list, and no I won't get it any time soon. They won't start shipping again until 5 July 88. Boo, Hiss! If you have QB4.0, you will not find out about this diskette automatically. No mailing is going out. The main problem has to do with SHELL and using the COM ports. In other words, don't, cause it won't. If you are experiencing this problem, I suggest calling the tech support line and getting them to put you on the mailing list. The number is: 1 (206) 882-8089 then press 5 after the voice answers. BTW, if they are mailing all registered users automatically, I have no indication of that, but I didn't ask either. Your best bet is to call and be put on the list that way.
