I need a AT multi-function card, (ie one that had memory, serial and parallel ports). YES I ONLY have one slot left and need ports and memory. --------> Review of bds is at the END. <------------- PLEASE send email about boards I HAVE or HAVE NOT looked at. Minimum configuration: 0K upgradeable to 1.5MB of EMS 4.0 compatible ram with the EMS 4.0 driver. 256K DIP memory chips used (NO SIMMS or ZIPS). 1 Serial 1 Parallel MUST run 8 MHZ I/O bus and would be a big bonus to run at 12MHZ on the I/O bus (This is I/O bus speed not the CPU speed). Nice additions: 2nd serial piggy back memory board that takes only 1/2 of the next slot so that I can put a 1/2 size card next to it. So far I have looked at Multfunctions cards from: INTEL ABOVE BD/PS286 - a) tooo expensive (I have ram). b) This card has everything I want but they want $400 and up for since it contains 512k mem. c) Has 1S and 1P and 2nd S option. d) piggy bd only takes 1/2 slot. e) Runs upto 12.5Mhz CLUB AT Multi - A) This is the ONLY card that meets my specs. a) Price is reasonable $115 cash. b) 0k/2MB c) 1S 1P, 1 Game, 2nd Serial OPT ($25). d) EMS 4.0 Software AST Advantage Premium AT - to expensive because it includes 512k ram. JDR Multifunction - a) does NOT support any EMS standard. b) 0K / 1.5MB c) 1S 1P, 2nd Serial ~$25. Sigma Designs - a) can't find out if it supports EMS b) Where I can mail order it from. c) 0K / 2MB d) 1S 1P, 2nd Serial $59, Game $39 e) Don't know about Speed ?
