Such a shock to your system could also introduce intermittent failures or just plain weaknesses in the system that may not surface for some time. They are hard to diagnose. I would vote for replacing the whole system. Whatever remains just isn't trustworthy. But now, if I had to shell out the bucks for a new system, I might think about it some...
