There's a UN*X-like sort for DOS that originated from Minix. It's been publicly distributed with no notices, so I assume it is public domain. Whoever suggested using the MS-DOS version of sort has obviously never tried the Unix version. Jeff Dean {hplabs, parcvax}!cdp!jeff

Unix syntax sort [-cmu] [-ooutput] [-ykmem] [-zrecsz] [-dfiMnr] [-btx] [+pos1] [-pos2] [files] compared to SORT [/R] [/+n] [< input pathname] [> output pathname] Paul Chamberlain Computer Product Engineering, Tandy Corp. ihnp4!sys1!cpe!tif

check comp.binaries.ibm.pc for a program called sortf. It just arrived in the last day or so, and is said to handle files >64K, and have many other features that the standard MS-DOS sort does not have. Everett Kaser !hplabs!hp-pcd!everett
