I am taking a survey. PLEASE RESPOND TO ME DIRECTLY.

Foreach Man, Woman, and Child in America today (231 million)
the U.S. Government spends 40,000 dollars. Given the sub-set of
catagories below, select the ones you would spend money on, and
send a response to me. The response should be of the following format.

nsf<tab>xx,xxx
education<tab>xx,xxx

which totals to 40,000.

			CATAGORY SUGGESTIONS
		defense
		nasa
		education
		nsf
		social security
		usda (agriculture)
		grants to states
		welfare
		etc....

I will summarize the results in about 3-4 weeks, with totals on
the number of respondents, amounts of money for each catagory, and the
catagories.
				-thanks ahead of time.

The good folks who brought all of us the 9000, as well as other HP-UX
machines, are on the net. I'm sure if you ask nice, you'll get a response.

Has anyone out there had any luck dealing with Hewlett-Packard? If so,
could I have some names and numbers?

Also, should a company believe that their products should only work with
their own products?
HP told me the reason that our HP9000 was constantly crashing was probably
because we had Tektronix terminals connected to it.

This is a Serious Servey. How many Sperry Univacs are still out there
being used for practical purposes. I am going to the University of
Alabama in Hunstville, which acclaims it has one of the best CS programs
in the country, and its main computer is a Univac. I am still wandering
if I will have to write my programs on punch cards....
