[comp.sys.ibm.pc] import

I am helping some friends to convert (import - in Paradox term) other data
bases, spreadsheets to Paradox. Paradox, however, doesn't support multiplan
nor wordstar. I have never used multiplan and wordstar.

Anybody out there has done it before or know how to do that? I really
appreciate your response.

First of all, check and see if Paradox will read SYLK or WKS files. (WKS files
are Lotus 123 rel 1.x files). If it will read SYLK files, load the sheet
into Multiplan and do a <T>ransfer <O>ption <Symbolic. Then do a
<T>ransfer <S>ave to save the file in SYLK format (preferrably to
a different name!). To load the next sheet, you'll have to do a
<T>ransfer <O>ption <N>ormal and then do the <T>rasnsfer <L>oad.

For WKS files (only available on the later release of Multiplan)
<T>ransfer <L>oad
<T>ransfer <O>ption <O>ther
<T>ransfer <S>ave filename.WKS (you *must* use the WKS extension!)
<T>ransfer <O>ption <N>ormal
and repeat for the next file...
