My MS-DOS 3.21 documentation describes in detail the STACKS=x,n command for CONFIG.SYS. Yet, when I try using the command on my 2.31 system (a Zenith-286 LP), I get the error message: Unrecognized command in CONFIG.SYS when I boot. I've tried STACKS=5, STACKS=0,0, etc., etc. but NOTHING works. Any ideas anyone?

If that is the case, your answer would be that 2.31 doesn't support this feature. If you just mis-typed what version you were running, sorry, don't have an answer. -- John B.
