I have a several questions about Borland's recently announced turbo debugger. 1. The debugger can use CodeView executables with a translator. What's it's native source of info? Intel standard records in the objects? Can it read info from .MAP files? 2. They mention a driver interface for using Atron/Periscope/... hardware debuggers. Is an actual Atron driver included, or is it just possible for Atron to write one if they wanted to. I don't see much incentive on their part. They have a software debugger that they're trying to sell too! 3. When using virtual 86 mode on a 80386, do they use a 386 control program built into the debugger (or separately written by Borland) or do they somehow use something like Desqview's QEMM or 386-to-the-max. I'm worried about trying to debug an application using EMS memory (simulated by Desqview or something like it) and the debugger in virtual 86 mode simultaneously. I know this is just is a just-announced (not available?) product, but I'd appreciate any info! -- John Maline UUCP: ut-sally!im4u!ti-csl!tifsie!john Texas Instruments sun!texsun!ti-csl!tifsie!john PO Box 655012 M/S 3635 uiucdcs!convex!smu!tifsie!john Dallas, TX 75265 Voice: (214)995-3575
