I have two systems. One Unix and the other MS-DOS. I would like to use an intelligent parallel I/O switch to use the same parallel printer between both machines without having to worry which position the switch is in. Obviously any of the switches that require software is out of the question due to two operating systems. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced unit that would suit my needs ? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone currently running a similar environment. There is a company called CompuAdd that sells THE LEAST EXPENSIVE switch boxes around. You can call them @ (800)531-5475. They show (in an older catalog) a auto switching 4 in 1 out parallel for $79. A manual switch box (2in, 1out) lists for $15. I have puchased many manual switch boxes from them and they are better built than some of the junk you can buy out there for $100+. Leo Hinds
