Hi, hardware engineers, How do you like compaq's idea about extending AT bus for the 32-bit 386 machines instead of choosing totally new NuBus? NuBus chip set for 80386 is always there now from TI. But they have not set even the specification for their Extended Industry Standard Architecture (EISA= AT bus 32bit extension). Do you engineers think that extending AT bus without problems like noise, address conflict, and line loading is possible? How do you think about issues like noise-limited speed, byte ordering, message passing, and arbitration? Are they essential to compete with MCA or sacrificible to compatibility? IWL
