Thanks to all who responded with numerous suggestions and code on
converting WordStar to ASCII. I received 1 program which exactly
matched my needs, WSSTRIP. It does the conversion and
reads/writes to the standard output so it can be used as a filter
in a .bat file.

BUT... Not a single reply on how to create a print (.PRN) file
wider than 240 chars from 1-2-3. I guess I am looking for a
"SIDEWAYS" to disk.??? Any help out there....

I haven't had to do this myself, but I would try saving
the file to a different format and load it into another
program that does not have the 240 limit for ascii files.

Rbase 5000, for example, can read 123 files, or you
can put the 123 file into "dif" format etc..
