if anyone is interested, i've located and bought an AT compatible portable computer with LCD screen. it is AC powered and runs at 10 Mhz, no wait states. it cost about $2500 with 40M hard disk. these machines are available from IMC international northwood executive park 10 northern blvd. amherst, NH 03031 603 595 2336 (i'm just a satisfied customer).
