I am looking for an index of the SIMTEL20 files. I've heard about a one-
line-per-file-description which is supposed to exist somewhere but I could
not locate it so far.
Thanks a lot for any pointer...

The index to SIMTEL20 files, with one line descriptions, is in
PD1:<MSDOS.FILEDOCS>SIMIBM.ARC. This file is updated at about
one month intervals.
PD1:<MSDOS>FILES.IDX is a complete list, updated daily, but without
descriptions.
Both files are comma-delimited, suitable for importing into PC-File+ or
any other database program that will import such files. One could also
write a program in BASIC to print the desired fields as these are simple
ascii files with cr-lf delimiters between records.

Look inside pd1:<pc-blue.vol000> for useful information about the pc-blue archives. Look inside pd1:<msdos> for useful information about the msdos archives. All of this can be retrieved by ftp.
