A recent article concerning computer viruses has been published in this
past week's (September 26, 1988) TIME magazine. "Invasion of the Data
Snatchers!", pp. 62-67. This is a good article, simply written, and easy
to understand. It may even answer some of the recent queries sent to this
newsgroup over the past couple months.

The only problem with that article, I think, is that the author
should distinguish the PC's from main frames. We can not just
simply refer a PC's invasion as an whole computer society disaster.
People should spend more money on workstations, instead of PCs, I
believe. PC is for Personal Computing only. The virus thing is easy
for any computer science student to design and implement on PCs but
not as easy if it is a workstation with memory protection.
