[comp.sys.ibm.pc] How does that DOS date roll-over problem go again?

I have a problem with a PC system that is left on all the time in that 
it doesn't change the date.  I've seen this go bye many times here on the
net over the years...but, I've forgotten what it's all about.  Could some-
one (just a few please) fill me in on the details and (hope, hope) the
solution.  Please mail. Thanks...JW
