---- If you respond to this article please remember to type r not f ------- I have been assigned the task to investigate connectivity between 1) A Vax 11/750 2) A MicroVax (type unknown) 3) Several MacSE (possibly II's) 4) many IBM PC/ PC clones (Xerox or some such) What I'm looking for are sites who currently use 1) TOPS 2) Alisatalk/Share 3) pcLink 4) pacerlink/share 5) any other product I havn't heard of. 6) tolken ring --- or any other networking protocal however I'm not interested in just having a bunch of smart terms connected to the vax(s). I'm interested in file sharing. compatability and storing. I'd like to hear both the nice features and the horrendous bugs from people who use the devices.... not rumors like .. " I heard pacershare is not adhering to the appletalk protocal and therefore won't work with all ....." I know about these types of rumors. What I want are first hand impressions. If I get enough response I will post a summary to the net. (ie. via E-mail to me if you want to hear what I've heard) Note: I tend to be MAC oriented above.... I'm more than willing to use IBM technologies also If someone will give me the information on them. Thanks in advance. Ben Herman Please respond to ben@rover.uchicago.edu P.S. Sorry If the above query sounds rude it is mearly intended to be brief and informative; not offencive.
