I am having some problems with a Zenith Z-439 (Full length) EGA card that I would appreciate some help with if any of you out there can give an assist. The card has been working fine in a Z-248 machine but now I what to use it in an IBM-AT (6MHz) or an IBM-XT. But when I put it in the machines will not boot. I have removed all possible cards that may have caused a conflict except an IBM memory card to take the system to 640KB and the floppy hard disk controller. No change in the problem. I called Zenith and they tell me the card is a Sigma EGA card and that the jumpers are set correctly (P2 and P3 are on Pins 1&2) and the DIP switches are correct for 80 column presentation. I've also made sure the setup was redone on the AT but none of this seems to change any thing. Any suggestions? All help would be appreciated. You can E-mail me if you have a comment.
