[comp.sys.ibm.pc] USRobotics SPORTER 2400

Does anyone who has an USRobotics SPORTSTER 2400 has any trouble
using it?  I currently have 2, one internal and one external, both
have a very strange behavior.  A continuous strems of data is
being received; like}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
non-stop.  Does this happened to anyone?  Both modems are brand new.
Any information will be helpful.

I've used a couple of 'sportsters' with no problems whatsoever.. 
I wouldn't say they're great modems, but I had no problems using 
them..

Sounds like a parity or baud rate problem.  Make sure your software
reflects the values (or switches) your modems are set to.  Also, make
sure you have the phone lines connected correctly.
