[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Bernoulli on AT&T 6300?

jr@oglvee.UUCP (Jim Rosenberg) (09/27/88)

Has anyone out there tried to put a Bernoulli Box on an AT&T 6300? Any
problems? If the rev level of the ROM is a problem we can arrange to get the
1.43 ROM upgrade.

Any experiences appreciated.

I worked for AT&T the past two summers and they have *many* Bernoulli
boxes attached to the 6300's. All were running the latest ROM BIOS
version (1.43?). They also work on the PLUS, 6310, 6312, and 6386.
Note that the 6312 and 6386 must be run in the 'goslow' mode or you will
not be able to read the cartridges on a PLUS or 6300.

I use a Bernoulli on my 6386 at work and take home several cartridges
all the time to continue work at home on my 6300. I have never had
a problem reading data written by the 6386 and I never run it in the
'goslow'. I don't think it is necessary. At least not from my
experience.

I have had the Bernoulli Box on my ATT6300 for almost three years now without a

2 ROM upgrades. Currently 1.43.

I like the freedom it gives me with storage.
