The new Everex AT's are being shipped with an OMTI 1:1 interleave SCSI controller. Does anyone have any experience with this controller in conjunction with Seagate hard-drives and TEAC floppies? About the controller, in particular, I'd like to know: 1. What's its transfer rate? 2. Which hard-drives is it (or is it not) compatible with? 3. Will it run 3.5" 1.44Mb floppy drives? 4. Does it have the same durability problems RLL controllers are having? 5. How reputable a company is OMTI? (I suppose if a big name such as Everex has chosen them, they must be doing something right). 6. Personal experience, opinions, etc. Thanks in advance, -- -- Raj ______________________________________________________________________________ | Disclaimer: I'm just an undergrad. | | All views and opinions are therefore my own. | | | | Rajiv Partha Sarathy sarathy@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca | |______________________________________________________________________________|
