SIGDOC Conference Scheduled for Cornell June 19-21
     
The Fourth International Conference on Systems Documentation
will be in session at Cornell University June 19-21.  Sponsored
by ACM, the Special Interest Grop on Documentation (SIGDOC), and
Cornell Computer Services, the conference will bring together top
professionals from several continents.
     
Dr. Kenneth M. King, vice provost for computing at Cornell, has
termed the need for more documentation and for whole new sets of
delivery systems as critical as computer use expands in all
sectors of industry, government, and universities.   Dr. King
will keynote the SIGDOC conference.
     
More than 30 speakers are scheduled to present papers and workshops
in the following areas:  Humans and Computers, Automatic System
Documentation Generators, Training, Networks, Language: Up the Grade,
Documentatin Recognition adnd Education, The computer Medium, Using
Human Language, Automatic Documentation, and Graphics and Text.
Discussion sessions on on-line documentation, evaluation, and graphics
are also program highlights.
     
Campus housing is available to participants, and registration is open
