I'm looking for suggestions on high quality graphics hardware for an IBM pc. I'd like not to get something that is so dependent on being plugged into a PCAT backplane that I could never use it on any other (future) pc. Standalone graphics devices with their own controller boxes and port attachments might be suitable candidates. I'm talking about stuff that is better/faster than EGA/VGA, and I definitely need a larger screen / more resolution than a typical PC graphics display. Think fancy (who cares if I can't pay for it). E.g. at one time I thought about buying a Microfield T8 card and a 1M pel display. Please send suggestions via email as I don't read these notesfiles too much. Thanks!
