[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Data Acquisition systems w/PC

I have been using ASYST on the PC, and would like to survey the community
of users about equipment that is used on the PC for data aquisition.  In
particular, I am trying to create a signal and then pass it through an 
attenuator that is programmable via a digital i/o board. My question may
have a limited audience, but if you are using an attenuator with the PC, 

	1.  What is the make of attenuator?
	2.  How do you program it?  
	3.  Can you use ASYST to program it? (if so how)
