I currently use a Zenith Z-148 with Zenith's MS-DOS v3.0. It has worked fine up to now. However, I have recently discovered that it came without a copy of FDISK. It did come with two unusual utilities: PREP and PART. Are PREP and PART Zenith's "replacements" for FDISK? If not, is there a public-domain version of FDISK that I can get through anonymous FTP? -- "Don't find a fault. | Marc Unangst Find a remedy." | UUCP: mju@m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us -Henry Ford | UUCP path: ...!uunet!umix!m-net!mju ---------------------+ Internet: mju%m-net@umix.cc.umich.edu

Zenith's "PART" is the counterpart to "FDISK"; it repartitions hard disks. "PREP" does low-level formats of hard disks. These are described in the manual under "Winchester Command Guide", along with the "SHIP" and "DETECT" utilities. -- -- bob,mon (bobmon@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu) -- "I thought it must be one of the prime numbers of the Zeeman Series. *I* haven't changed."
