When I changed jobs six months ago, I sent in an address change to PC Week using one of their subscription cards. No response, not even an acknowledgement. This is frustrating. I am a product manager for communications for a company (Convergent Technologies) which makes products that are aimed in part and compete in the overall PC marketplace. I don't want to get hung up here on theological dicusssions of whether CTOS and NGens are PC's or not. However, there are others at CT who do get PC Week. Why can't I? I influence/ specify/buy comm and related products. Any comments?

One of the criterion for this type of magazine is to only send enough copies to one location - they expect the copies to be utilized by more than just the recipient. Guess they think that they are already sending enough copies to your location and there's nothing much you can do about it except read your friends copy. --rkl

No response, not even an acknowledgement. I changed jobs a while back, and submitted a change of address. It was ignored. I called them on the phone, and they sent me several issues that I had missed, started a new subscription at the new address, and cancelled the old one. They said they were mailing me one of those questionaires as a formality. -- Mark D.
