Check the back issues of 80 Micro. I used to subscribe to it and I remember that in one of their last couple of issues was the instructions for using the 1002-WX1 controller in a Tandy 1000. The Tandy uses a different interrupt for the hard disk, that's the reason for the metal change on the controller board. I believe it is also neccessary to obtain a universal ROM from WD for the controller to work.
