]:[ i'm sure, like myself, everyone now has their upgrade invitation to go from III+ to IV. however, the Big Question is: did you do it?! did you make the plunge and upgrade? i've heard rumors. nasty ones. for instance, why upgrade now when the dbase version currently shipping will go out with documentation printed next *JUNE* that no longer matches features of the program?! another nasty one is there are literally thousands of bugs in the product (3,000 rumored "bugs" as of 09/88). is ashton-tate *telling* everyone this as they ship these copies? is it compatible with ms-dos version 4.0x? what's it like? memory hog? should someone wait a while before upgrading? how many 5.25" disks? 15? 20? thanks for your responses. i will post a summary of IV's status... -- | | michael regoli | ...rutgers!iuvax!silver!regoli | regoli@silver.bacs.indiana.edu | it's a fine line between stupid and clever. |
