Hi Net!
I've been following the various discussions on Shift-PrtScr. What I
need is a way to save the screen contents to a file instead of to the
printer. Ideally, when Shift-PrtScr is pressed, a small prompt would
appear asking me for the target filename and then the screen image
(newline terminated) would be dumped to that file. I need to be able
to capture exactly what's on the screen for later inclusion in a manual.
My alternative is typing each screen in by hand (there are about 30).
Thanks in advance!
Kevin

From article <320@pte.UUCP>, by kiy@pte.UUCP (Kevin Young): > What I need is a way to save the screen contents to a file instead of to the > printer........ There is a small TSR program named SNIPPER that was published by PC-Magazine earlier this year that does exactly what you want. I use it regularly. The Hot-Key is ALT-W. When pressed, you are given a cursor to mark the area of the screen to print/save. After marking, a popup menu lets you save to a file, print to printer, or store in a buffer for recall into your word processor. -- |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |Glen Midkiff osu-cis!dsacg1!gmidkiff | | Phone: (614)-238-9643 @DLA, Systems Automation Center, Columbus, Oh. | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
