[comp.sys.ibm.pc] executing programs from within programs

I writing programs in C using the Computer Innovations C86 compiler.
I currently know how to load a subordinate program, have it execute,
and return to the invoking program using function call 4B.

In order to reduce my memory requirements, I would like to be able
to load the subordinate program over the top of the first one.  Is
there a DOS supported method for doing this?
