Does anyone know of a program which can read data from two serial ports at the same time? I'm using an IBM PC in a laboratory and I have two machine which send data out at 1200 baud, Ideally I'd like to use one computer to read in the data from both machines and just store the data in separate files or in the same file. Currently, I'm using kermit to read the data from one machine and store everything into a file, I'd rather not have to buy another PC. Any suggestions? Please e-mail any suggestions directly to me since I do not regularly read this news group. Thanks, Scott Diamond diamond@sierra.stanford.edu

Yes, Diamond... there IS a comm program that will accept from two ports at the same time: ORACOMM.ARC (in Portal IBM file section); however, not sure it would send to the same file - or if, indeed, that is advisible. Kermit? Think you had better take a good look at Oracomm with the possibility of reading with another protocol.
