Hello, I do have some strange behaviour of my VGA-Card. The configuration: Epson Equity III+ Video-7 VEGA-VGA NEC Multisync II When I display some graphics in CGA-Mode ( must be, are Demo-floppies -8), sometimes the screen show every second pixel-line shiftet appr. 1 cm to the right, so a vertical line looks a little like ---------*---------- --------------*---- ---------*---------- --------------*----- ---------*---------- --------------*----- This is not constant, it comes and goes for minutes. Now even more strange: It happens only in the leftmost slot ( Number 1 ), I then put the card into the rightmost slot ( Number 9 ), where it works. I used the card for some time in an XT-286, also leftmost slot, without that problem. Does anybody on the net have or here about this or similar things with Video-7 VGA? My Problem: is the computer or the VGA to defect? BTW: I asked Epson-Germany, they could not help me ( would be a wonder if ), but they told me: the Video-7 VEGA-VGA does not work under OS/2 ! It looses syncronization totally. They named other cards which work, namely the EIZO and the Paradise ( EIZO uses Paradise chips ). So the Video-7 may not be as compatible as everybody says ( and writes ). Please send comments to these things to the net, not by mail to me, since many may be interrested. R. Kirchner
